Mariah Aivazis is a 22 year old dancer from Warren, Ohio.  She grew up training in a multitude of techniques including ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and tap.  After graduating high school, Mariah moved to New York City and earned a minor degree in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College and has trained extensively with various programs such as Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester and Training Program, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Alvin Ailey, The Summer Dance Sessions, Broadway Dance Center’s Summer Workshop Series and has attended numerous workshops and conventions.  Mariah danced in New York Fashion Week, the Nintendo Pre-Launch Party at Rockefeller Center, Good Morning America, IFC TV’s “Sweatsgiving” commercial, Aaron David’s “Bikini” music video, Project Runway, Los Angles and New York’s Choreographer’s Carnival, New York’s Got Talent, The Millennium Experience, The Giving Tree, Calen Kurka’s Pushing Progress Show, the PULSE on Tour, and numerous other performances along with many NYC flash mobs and various choreographer’s concept videos. 

 

Mariah is a choreographer, teacher, and performer.  She continues to study various dance styles in New York City to further her professional career.  She is a member of AbstraKT Beings the Company directed by Theresa Stone, Hannah Fredrick’s Dance Company directed by Hannah Jane Fredrick, and performed with The Orsano Project and the Derek Mitchell Dance Company.  She has also performed choreographed works by Shirlene Quigley, Brooke Wendle, Lizz Picini, Shannon Mather, Brooke Pierotti, Marinda Davis, and Ellenore Scott, as well as numerous others. 

Mariah has appeared in both Dance Spirit and Dance Teacher magazines several times and was featured as a dancewear and fitness model along with being Starpower Talent Competition's cover girl and website model. She has modeled for Sandy & Sid Scarf Company, Urban Dancewear, and the retail shop’s online store for the world famous Broadway Dance Center in New York City.  She is currently signed with Lucille DiCampli Artist Representation and enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge of dance with her students.
